About Megan Tomhave, PA-C


 

Megan Tomhave, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in psychiatry. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with distinction from Colorado College. During her undergraduate studies, she served as chair for her National Alliance on Mental Illness chapter and earned the Shearn Award in Neuroscience for her honors thesis, which explored the connections between the gut microbiome and mental health.

Ms. Tomhave completed her Master’s degree at Saint Catherine University, where she continues to contribute as a distinguished guest lecturer. Her Master’s thesis explored neurodiversity-affirming approaches to mental healthcare, reflecting her commitment to inclusive and patient-centered treatment modalities. Ms. Tomhave has worked in various clinical settings as an Emergency Room Technician, Direct Support Professional, Physical Therapy Aide, and Research Assistant. Originally from Minnesota, she has embraced Southern California as her new home.

Outside of her professional endeavors, she finds joy in outdoor activities such as hiking and gardening and creative pursuits like DJing and painting. She shares these adventures with her partner and cherished Yorkie companion, Louie.
