
Megan Tomhave, PA-C, CAQ-Psych, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Psychiatry. Megan is experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, and postpartum disorders. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience from Colorado College and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Saint Catherine University, Megan is dedicated to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
Megan has always held a passion for mental health and serving her community. During her undergraduate studies, she served as chair for her National Alliance on Mental Illness chapter and earned the Shearn Award in Neuroscience for her honors thesis, which explored the connections between the gut microbiome and mental health. During this time, she also worked as a direct support professional supporting children and adults with mental disabilities. Her Master’s thesis explored neurodiversity-affirming approaches to mental healthcare, reflecting her commitment to inclusive and patient-centered treatment modalities.
Megan earned her Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry in 2025 to demonstrate her expertise and dedication to the field of psychiatry as a Physician Assistant. Megan believes in the importance of a strong patient-provider relationship and enjoys spending time getting to know each patient with a focus on improving all aspects of their health.
Outside of her professional endeavors, she finds joy in outdoor activities such as hiking and gardening and creative pursuits like ceramics and painting. Originally from Minnesota, she has embraced Southern California as her new home.
